Knowledge Base
For Translators

Sometimes people ask me for advice. Colleagues who want to hear my opinion, students, who hesitate on what is good and what is not for their career, friends and partners, who need help with their language needs.

I can't claim to be able to give an answer to any question, but for some 20 years of full-time professional translation and localisation experience, I accumulated a wealth of knowledge that I am happy to share.

  • How does it work?
Type in your question in the form to the left. Enter your name and e-mail (optional — if only you want to get notified about the answer). Your question will be then displayed in the list below. Once I answer your question (up to one week) the answer will appear on the same table next to your question. If you add your email address when submitting the form, you will get a notification once the answer is added.
  • Is it confidential?
Unless you indicate your email or your real name I will not be able to identify you. If you want to get notifications about answers to your or others questions, you need to provide your e-mail address. Your email will never be displayed on this or any other website or resource and will be kept confidential for the notification purposes only.
  • Is it free?
Yes! I give my friendly advice. In return, you agree to have your question and my answer to be publically visible on my website or any other resources I share it to. You can also feel free to share the link to this page on other media.
  • What can I ask about?
Though I can recommend you a good risotto recipe, I still would prefer to stick to the translation/localisation matters.
  • In what language should I ask?
You can ask in English or in Russian. I will answer you in the language of your question.
  • Have doubts?
    Ask me privately.
